Traffic Violations

In the event that you receive a citation alleging a traffic violation and you need information on how to proceed with it, please call (501) 268-7622 or email searcydistrictcourt@cityofsearcy.org for guidance.  There are many violations that do not require a court appearance and may be paid prior to your court date. In this case, payment should be made at least two days prior to your court date. Some of these may even be paid online. Please call us, and we will advise you on how to handle your particular situation. If you decide you want to contest your ticket, please call us prior to your court date. You will need to appear to enter a Not Guilty plea and set the case for trial.

Paying Traffic Violations Online

Depending on the speed involved in the violation, some tickets may be paid online. Click here to pay online. If you’re not sure if your ticket may be paid online, call our office at (501) 268-7622.

Arrested/Charged with Criminal Offense

If you are arrested or otherwise charged with a criminal offense, then you have to appear on your plea date unless an attorney is hired, in which case he can make any calls on your behalf. If you cannot afford an attorney, then you will be given an opportunity to apply for Public Defender services on your plea day. Whether or not you qualify for this service is largely determined by your level of income and/or other resources. You, again, may call this office for any guidance you need.

Small Claims/Civil Court

If you should be served with a summons to appear in Small Claims or Civil court, you may call (501) 207-5777 or (501) 207-5786
