Searcy Parks & Rec is excited to launch Searcy FIT (Fitness Inspired Together) — a new, low-cost fitness program designed to give our community another accessible option for staying active and healthy. Searcy FIT offers a variety of affordable classes for all fitness levels, making it easier than ever to move your body, build strength, and connect with others in a supportive environment. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to try something new, there’s a place for you here.

PRICES

Prices are baed on each class offering, and includes the full 12 week pilot.

Middle Eastern Dance, Kickboxing, Yoga or Express Rebound:
$50 for 12 weeks

Senior Line Dancing or Strong & Steady Seniors:
$50 for 12 weeks (2 classes per week)
$35 for 12 weeks (1 class per week)

First class is FREE. Drop-in’s welcome if space is available. $5/class

Our Classes

Express Rebound

Bounce your way to improved cardiovascular health, strength, and energy in this low impact, high energy 30- minute lunch-break rebound class! Using mini trampolines, we will combine low impact high energy cardio, balance, and light strength movements to boost endurance while being gentle on the joints. Expect fun music, simple choreography, and options for all fitness levels. Although it is not required, participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch and have a quick bite and time to connect before going on about your day. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes an get ready to fly!


Yoga

 This is a Level 1 yoga class, because yoga is for EVERYbody! You will learn how to take deep, diaphragmatic breaths using your whole lung capacity. Deep breath brings clarity to your mind and calms your nervous system, therefore yoga is a great stress-buster!

    All bodies need to move, so you will learn basic yoga poses and how to match movement with your breath. Yoga helps your joints move more smoothly, as well.

    A yoga practice brings peace to your mind, love for your body, and joy to your spirit! Come join us to not only improve your health and well-being, but to have fun, as well! 

Middle Eastern Dance

What is Middle Eastern dance? Known in the west by the misnomer “belly dance,” this solo, improvised form is both a social dance, done by women throughout the Middle East in the home and at celebrations, as well as a theatrical dance form. Learn the foundational movements and techniques of this feminine and fun dance form that will develop your confidence, coordination, and body awareness and improve your posture, fitness and flexibility. This beginner-friendly, low-impact class is designed for all ages, bodies and experience levels, with no previous dance or athletic experience required. Wear workout clothes or anything that is comfortable and not constraining to move in, socks or bare feet are recommended.


Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a high-energy group fitness class combining martial arts techniques and music to build stamina, coordination, flexibility, and lean muscle while burning calories.

Senior Line Dancing

This class is a fun, low-impact way to stay active and social. Line dancing is easy to learn, great for balance, and guaranteed to lift your spirits. No partner needed, beginner friendly. It’s a great way to move, laugh, and make friends. Wear comfortable clothes, and get ready to move, groove, and connect!


Strong and Steady Seniors

Participants will enjoy gentle cardio, light strength training, stretching, and balance work to help with everyday movements. No prior fitness experience is needed. Exercises can be modified to meet individual needs, including seated or standing options. Perfect for anyone looking to stay healthy, energized, and connected with others in a positive group setting.
