City of Searcy to Celebrate Grand Opening of Berryhill Park Improvements
The City of Searcy will officially celebrate the completion of major improvements to Berryhill Park with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 21, at 4pm.
Community members are invited to attend and experience the park’s exciting new features, including an all-inclusive playground designed for children of all abilities, a splash pad, new walking trails, improved parking and other park enhancements that create more opportunities for recreation and family fun.
The Berryhill Park improvements are part of the City’s long-term commitment to investing in quality-of-life projects identified through the #MySearcy master planning process. These upgrades were made possible through the voter-approved bond initiative passed in 2024.
“Berryhill Park has always been a special place for Searcy families, and these improvements make it even better,” said Mayor Mat Faulkner. “We’re excited to officially open these new amenities and provide a space where children of all abilities can play, families can gather, and our community can enjoy the outdoors.”
The grand opening event will include remarks from city leaders and members of the Berryhill family, complimentary hot dogs, chips, and drinks provided by local businesses, face painting, and an opportunity for attendees to explore the new amenities.
The master plan for the park was completed by engineering firm Crafton Tull, the lead design firm for the project is Davidson Engineering and the general contractor is Hart Construction.
Berryhill Park is located at 2001 East Moore Avenue in Searcy.
