My name is Laurel Bright and I am 28 years old. I grew up in Searcy and graduated from Searcy High School in 1994. I have worked in Law Enforcement since 1997, and was certified as a full time Police Officer in 1999. I began working as a Detective and was initially assigned to the Crimes Against Women Unit at the Searcy Police Department in 2003. While in this position I had the opportunity to obtain specialized training in fields such as Child Abuse and Neglect, and I was also able to spend a week with the FBI in Little Rock where I was trained in crime scene processing. I have since been assigned to work in the Criminal Investigation Division where I work a variety of crimes ranging from Burglary to Homicide. I have been able to take many classes including Blood Stain Pattern Documentation, Death Investigation Training, Warrantless Search and Seizure, and Basic Crime Scene Photography. I love my job, and enjoy having the opportunity to help victims of crimes.
