Major Kyle Osborne

My name is Kyle Osborne . I began my career as a Patrolman with the Searcy Police Department in 1982. After three (3) years as a patrol officer I was promoted to Sergeant in 1985. While supervising a patrol shift I also managed the Police Departments evidence room and attended various training classes around the state. In 1992, I transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division. As the C.I.D. Sergeant I assigned criminal cases to be investigated by the Detectives and conducted daily meetings as to the progress of those investigations. Promoted to Lieutenant in 1993 I assumed command of the Criminal Investigation and Narcotics Divisions. In 1998 I was promoted to the rank of Captain, my duties continued in the Criminal and Narcotics Divisions.

In 2004 I was promoted to the rank of Major where I currently serve as second in command of the Police Department. I thrive on the intensity of Police work. The variety of challenges faced daily and being involved in those challenges, only a Police Officer can understand.

Throughout my Law Enforcement career I have received thousands of hours of specialized training from all over the country, all while attending night classes at ASU.

A Police Department is only as good as the community it serves. We at the Searcy Police Department enjoy a close relationship with our business owners and our citizens. Both of which have shown tremendous support for the Police Department.

When not at work (which is most of the time) I enjoy golf and hunting. Also, answering the phone and terrifying the boys who call my daughter, now that’s fun.
