Smoke Detectors Save Lives

In Arkansas, since 1976, there have only been four recorded deaths in homes that had operating smoke detectors. The odds are almost 100% that you will getout of a fire alive with smoke detectors in use. Each year, the Searcy Fire Department and Ace Hardware sponsor a detector awareness program the last weekend in October. Free detector batteries are given out, and firemen are on hand to answer any questions you might have. Bring your detector to the store, of if you are unable to get out, call the Fire Department for help.
