Due to our concern for the environment, the City of Searcy is asking all residents to preserve our community by recycling.

Containers will be collected at your home on Wednesday. Please have them at the curb by 7am for pick-up. Below is a list of container colors and the contents that belong in each container.

Red: Paper products such as; newspapers, magazines, white office paper (no staples) and other similar items. Do not include paper containing other refuse or with grease, oil, etc… If these items are included, the container will not be picked up.

Blue: Plastic bottles such as; milk jugs, soda, ketchup, syrup, cooking oil, liquid laundry detergent, bleach, fabric softener, shampoo, pill bottles, lotion, etc.. Items to exclude: bags or wrap, toys, medical supplies, motor oil bottles, ice cream pails, peanut butter jars, flower pots, food storage containers, solvents, paints, and adhesives.

Green: Aluminum and steel cans must be rinsed thoroughly and aluminum cans must be flattened.

Please do not mix the above materials in one container, as this will increase the amount of time necessary for collection. Recycling containers may be picked up at the recycling center. We are proud to provide this service and appreciate your cooperation.
