The City of Searcy extends an invitation to you and your family to visit our community during this Christmas season.  Take a carriage ride in the magical setting and brightly adorned Berryhill Park, the largest of our four city parks.  Each of our parks has been transformed into a delightful wonderland of twinkling lights. Stroll through our brightly ornamented & beautifully decorated Main Street District, centered around the White County Court House, while enjoying beautiful holiday music.

On Saturday, December 2nd, we will be celebrating an “Old Fashion Christmas” in the Main Street District around the Court Square.  All the events and entertainment will be free this day.  Come enjoy a Christmas movie, a Holiday Dog Parade and contest, singing, dancing and much more.  At 6 p.m., we will have our Holiday of Lights Parade.

Our Christmas season actually begins on Friday, November 17th with the Magic Society of Searcy Magic Show and on Saturday, November 18 the traditional Holiday of Lights Beauty Pageant will take place. Our Christmas lights will burn brightly from November 25th through January 1st. The month of December you can enjoy a meal and entertainment at the Center on the Square Dinner Theater.  They will be presenting “A Sanders Family Christmas”.  December 2nd, in addition to the “Old Fashion Christmas” celebration downtown, you can compliment your Christmas shopping by visiting the Carmichael Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crafts and goodies.  Dec. 6th -10th and 15th -17th, enjoy a drive through “The Living Nativity” at the corner of Benton and Cloverdale.  Admission is free.
